Ken Talkington

Ken began his tenure with LANTEC in 2011. After serving in the Army, Ken moved to Lake Charles, LA to start an IT consulting business. During that time, he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Electronic Engineering and Technology, as well as a Master’s of Education. As a previous instructor with McNeese State University, he taught Electronics, AutoCAD, microprocessor design and programming, instrumentation, and software programming. Additionally, Ken has served as a faculty member of both SOWELA and ITT, instructing various Microsoft and CompTIA certification preparation courses. Over the past decade, Ken has facilitated numerous technical classes across the country and remotely on Windows OS, Active Directory Design and Implementation, Infrastructure, App Servers, CompTIA’s Security + and Server +. Ken and his wife have two sons and three grandchildren, and he enjoys fishing, camping, beaches and astronomy.
