Course Description:
This hands-on, foundational course introduces Microsoft Power Platform’s core components—Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Power Pages, Dataverse, and copilot AI—empowering learners to craft data-driven business solutions.
COURSE OUTLINE:
LESSON 1: INTRODUCE POWER PLATFORM- Explore Microsoft Power Platform components and connectors
- Understand its integration with Azure, Microsoft 365, Teams, and Dynamics
LESSON 2: MANAGE DATAVERSE & ENVIRONMENTS
- Describe Dataverse concepts (tables, relationships, environment architecture, governance)
LESSON 3: BUILD POWER APPS
- Differentiate canvas vs. model-driven apps
- Build a basic canvas app and a model-driven app
LESSON 4: AUTOMATE WITH POWER AUTOMATE
- Describe cloud and desktop flow types
- Build basic cloud and desktop flows to automate tasks
LESSON 5: CREATE POWER BI DASHBOARDS
- Understand Power BI value and elements
- Clean/transform data, create a simple dashboard, and interpret AI insights
LESSON 6: DESIGN POWER PAGES SITES
- Explain the business value of Power Pages
- Build a simple site, with scenarios for Copilot integration
LESSON 7: EXPLORE AI & COPILOT EXPERIENCE
- Introduce Copilot Studio and AI Builder
- Build a simple Copilot and explore AI Builder capabilities
Labs / Exercises:
- Connecting Dataverse tables
- Building a canvas app
- Creating cloud/desktop flows
- Publishing a Power BI dashboard
- Launching a basic Power Pages site
- Testing Copilot interactions
