This intensive five-day course provides participants with the skills to deploy and manage VMware Horizon 8 environments, enabling the delivery of virtual desktops and applications through a unified platform. Attendees will gain hands-on experience configuring and deploying pools of desktops and applications, customizing desktop environments, and implementing Horizon infrastructure components such as Connection Server, Unified Access Gateway, and Cloud Pod Architecture.
Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:
Identify VMware Horizon features and architecture
Define use cases for desktop/application virtualization
Create and optimize Windows and Linux desktop VMs
Configure, entitle, and manage desktop pools
Manage Horizon Clients and user experiences
Deploy instant-clone desktops and RDSH applications
Monitor Horizon environments using admin tools
Install and configure Horizon Connection Server and supporting infrastructure
Secure Horizon deployments with certificates, gateways, and authentication
Scale environments using replica servers and Cloud Pod Architecture
Integrate Workspace ONE Access and manage virtual apps
