SQL Querying (Fundamentals + Advanced)

Audience:

Individuals with basic computer skills and familiarity with database concepts who want to develop SQL querying skills for reporting, data analysis, and common database tasks.

Prerequisites:

Basic computer skills and familiarity with database terminology and structure are required. The Fundamentals portion introduces the SQL skills used in the Advanced portion.

Course Description:

Build practical SQL skills to retrieve, analyze, and manage information stored in relational databases. This two-day course combines SQL Querying: Fundamentals and Advanced using Third Edition courseware.

Begin with writing queries, filtering results, using functions, organizing data, combining information from multiple tables, and exporting results. Then expand into nested and correlated queries, data and table modifications, views, indexes, and transactions—including committing changes or rolling them back.

Course Objectives:

In this course, you will compose SQL queries to retrieve desired information from a database, work with advanced queries to manipulate and index tables, and create transactions so that you can choose to save or cancel the data entry process. You will:
